Demolition Day

With Mark, John Dodds, and some hired help, the demolition was done in two days. Old windows were removed and boarded up with plywood. All countertops, cabinets, appliances, and vinyl flooring were ripped out and carted out front to a large rented dumpster. A temporary kitchen was set up in the dining area. Dishes were washed in the laundry room adjacent to the kitchen, which we kept functional for the duration of the project.

John takes out the peninsula countertop in one move.

Mark and John rip out the brick veneer.

Wiring

Over 600 feet of new cable was routed, along with new recessed lighting fixtures, outlets, and switches, all to code.

Plumbing

We paid to have a plumber install new lines for the extra sink. John and Mark routed the new vent line through the 2nd floor.

Passed first inspection, now on to sheet rock!
