Roll around folding workbench
This rolls around on 2" casters. The wings are attached with piano hinges. When folded out, they are held up with 3/4" pipe, which attach to pipe flanges screwed near the outer corners. I can adjust flatness of the table when unfolded by screwing the pipe into the flanges just right. With both wings opened, I have a 4' by 7' work surface. I use this often for gluing up large projects, finishing, or just cutting down cardboard boxes for recycling.
Internally, there are three separate shelf areas. Racking is eliminated with two internal vertical cross pieces. It's basically an open box design, with two plywood "tees" that form supported shelves top and bottom. The plans are from The Family Handyman, May 2000. The magazine is fine for beginner to intermediate DIY'ers.
